Windwalker Vineyard and Winery as it is known today began back in 1989, but the current owners Jim and Alanna Taff have only been entering the wines for competition for the last three years. in their three years of competition they have won “Best Red Wine” of the Sierra Foothills and one different variety being Best Of State for three years running. Among the many awards won over the last three years they are the most proud of the 2011 “Best Of Show” Red winning the coveted Golden Bear Trophy and the three 4 Star Gold medals won at the 2013 Orange County Fair wine competition. Windwalker also released their first ever Rosé, a dry Grenache. Other new releases include a Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah and the latest “Lady In Red”, which is a blend of all 5 bordeaux varietals. Right now there are three Ladies, which include “Foxy Lady” and “Shady Lady”. Soon they will add “Tempermental Lady” which is their new Tempranillo based wine. Look for her release at an upcoming event!
They are currently pouring 17 wines in their tasting room but if you are a wine club member, there are even more!
