Jim and Toshi Brown have been a part of the Fair Play wine community for over 18 years and by all accounts have been very successful with over 165 medals earned over the years. Their wines have been enjoyed by countless fans and wine club members who are loyal and love the experience of visiting the Sierra Oaks Estates tasting room in Fair Play. So it is with some measure of sadness that come Summer 2013, the date yet to be decided, Sierra Oaks Estates will be closing its doors and Jim and Toshi Brown will begin a much anticipated retirement!
But the fun will continue until then and the wines will continue to flow, with even some new releases coming the first week of April. The Annual Spring Fling will go on as planned and the date will be announced real soon. And the fun doesn’t stop there. All wines are being offered at a close out price of $120 a case, for all wines! You can even mix and match. Choose from popular choices like the Zinzabar and SOE Red, as well as the Estate Zinfandel, Reserve Estate Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. At $120 a case, many of these wines are over 50% off!
Jim and Toshi will still own and farm the vineyards of Sierra Oaks Estates, and will sell their award winning fruit to other wineries in California. Their vineyard produces about 30-35 tons of premium fruit a year and even in retirement, will keep Jim busy during certain times of the year. The rest of the time the Browns will have more time to travel and visit kids and grandkids, and even relax and enjoy the beautiful Fair Play community.
